While in the female category, the champions of Spain from this distance, Vanessa Veiga Comesaña it ranked as 66th overall, with her husband Julio Rey (CAT- CCM), with lap times of 1:16:38 and 1:16:39 respectively. Vanessa was the top seed of the English athletes.
